The Consortium Led by ParaMedir Awarded with €1.8 Million in European Funding by Just Transition Fund (JTF)
Groningen, 14th June, 2024
Subsidy Awarded
GitGud Software Development is proud to announce that, as a consortium partner, we have been awarded part of a €1.8 million subsidy from the European Union’s Just Transition Fund (JTF). This funding supports the development of the UriMoni™, an innovative medical device aimed at improving healthcare through real-time, non-invasive biomonitoring.
About The Project
Led by ParaMedir, this collaborative project brings together several organisations – including GitGud Software Development B.V, Pieter Oomen Beheer, Health Hub Roden, University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), Zorggroep Tangenborgh, and Hanze University Groningen – to enhance the diagnosis and monitoring of acute and chronic illnesses through next-generation biosensing technology.
At GitGud, our primary contribution lies in the development of the device’s digital backbone. We are designing and implementing both the embedded software and in-house data-analysis infrastructure needed to power the UriMoni™ ’s real-time biomonitoring capabilities. Our team is also responsible for the development of the secure, interoperable systems that will enable integration with existing electronic health records (EHRs).
The project aims to reduce strain on healthcare systems, lower treatment costs, and increase accessibility to preventive care. Furthermore, it contributes to regional innovation and job creation, while paving the way for future advancements such as implantable biosensors.
The Consortium Led by ParaMedir Awarded €600,000 EFRO Subsidy by SNN to Develop Solutions to Improve Outcome of Acute Heart Failure Patients
Groningen, 9th June, 2023
Subsidy Awarded
GitGud Software Development is pleased to announce our participation in a groundbreaking medical technology project that has been awarded approximately €600,000.00 in EFRO funding by SNN (Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland), with additional financial support of around €130,000.00 from the province and municipality of Groningen.
This collaborative initiative is led by ParaMedir and includes consortium partners such as the University Medical Centre Groningen (UMCG) and Health Hub Roden.
About The Project
The focus of this project is the development of CardioDrop©, a novel medical device designed to enable rapid, bedside urine analysis for patients suffering from acute heart failure. This condition affects over 25 million people worldwide and is associated with high hospitalisation and readmission rates.
The current treatment approach involves frequent monitoring of a patient’s fluid balance – typically using time-consuming, manual methods.
GitGud Software Development is responsible for the design and implementation of the embedded systems, data acquisition software, and clinical data interfaces that will power CardioDrop©.
These digital solutions will allow clinicians to make faster, more personalised treatment decisions in high-dependency settings such as Cardiac Care Units (CCUs) and Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
